Super appreciate these, some amazing stuff here.  Gave me a reason to turn the MB back on

.... (still super pissed about the "hotfix" being frozen).

I have owned the beast for 15 days. and your sound bank allows me to see the possibilities and the diversity of this machine.

We feel a certain mastery on your part ...

Thank you, Frans.
I was just reviewing banks of presets and I was wondering where those good FLM presets came from (an older bank you generously uploaded).

Does anyone know how Frans was able to program the seq-mod function on some of the sequences in this set? You can see and hear this happening pretty clearly in patch A4 in sequence mode. The mod knob is lighting up like a Christmas tree!

The manual has precious little info on how to do this.

Cheers,

Keith

1. In "Mod mode":
Set destination(s) to be affected by "sequencer mod"  on row L: "Seq mod" then set the amount as usual with "Mod amount".

2. Then in "Seq mode":
Press & hold a "mod"-button (ex: A1) then while holding set the amount with "Mod amount"

The total amount that is applied on each step depends on both the fixed amount for "seq mod amount" set in 1. and the "mod amount" set in 2 for each step. Probably it's the value from 1) is multiplied by the %age given in 2). Both values can be pos or neg.

Example:
1. Init a patch (Panel + preset), then activate VCO 2
2. Init a sequence (Panel + seq)
3. Go to Mod, then
  a) set L1 with amount -24 (L1=Seq mod -> VCO1 pitch)
  b) set L5 with amount +24 (l5=Seq mod -> VCO2 pitch)
4. Go to Seq, create a short seqence (like 4 equal middle C's), set seq length to 4
5. Then set the buttons in the mod row (A1-A4):
  a) Press & hold A1, set amount to -50%
  b) Press & hold A2, set amount to -25%
  c) Press & hold A3, set amount to +25%
  d) Press & hold A4, set amount to +55%

Then start the seqence (in "up" direction).

Mute VC2, you hear VCO1 has descending pitch. If you mute VCO1 and enable VCO2 it has ascending pitch
The total amount modulated for VCO1 would be something like (guessing...) -24 * (each %-age set in 5a-d).
Same for VCO2: 24 * (each %-age set in 5a-d).

One limitation here is that the same "mod amount" from sequencer is applied to all "Seq mod-destinations" (you can't on step 2 say you want to mod VCO1 (L1) with 50% and VCO2 (L5) with 99%) ... but you can of course modulate the amount set on Seq Mod for VCO1 using custom modulation (in Mod mode: Hold the round button 13 and press L1 to assign custom destionation 13 to be "Seq Mod -> VCO1 amount". Then choose a source for that (ex LFO1 by pushing E13 and setting a amount). In the example above VCO2 would be constant +24, and VCO1 would be -24 + (LFO1 * amount set on E13). Both VCO1 and VCO2 would in addition be modulated with the values set in 5a-d) above - but VCO2 is not constant -24 anymore - it varies with LFO1 - which of course can be a custom designed LFO with 16 "steps"!

Quicker way to set mod-amounts on all steps:
You can also create a sequence, then press play, then at any time press the record button (it will blink). When you then start to turn the Mod-knob it will record 1 pass of the sequence (from where ti was when you first touched Mod). Tip: slow it down! Note: this will replace the amounts that was in the mod steps already.

Hope this helps :-)
(if not, try to search youtube for "matrixbrute sequencer mod" - a lot of tips on YT)

Thanks, Matrixbrute. I'll give it a try.
