Upgrade Uncertainties
« on: May 02, 2018, 01:49:43 am »
In January, I upgraded to V6 for USD$199. Before this, I had only originally bought into V4, and then the V4 Update. I never stepped foot into V5, and skipped it completely for V6. Now I see that there is a V6.1 version, and Arturia seems to be offering it to me for $199. I'm really unclear about this. Did my January upgrade to V6 for $199 get me V6.1? Or do I need to shell out ANOTHER $199 to go from V6 to V6.1? Also, what is the best way to determine whether my instrument installations/activations are for 6 or 6.1? Thanks for the help, people.

It should be a free upgrade from V6. It was for me.

Great. Thanks. I just need to know where to go on my Mac to determine if what I have installed right now is 6.0 or 6.1. I don’t see a thing in Arturia Software Center that indicates versions.

Hi,

If you are already a V6 user, the update is indeed free.

AFAIK then you'll get the updates thru your V-Collection 6 in your ASC. You will not get something called V-Collection 6.1. For example my DAW don't get another name for each new free update even if the version is changed.  I believe that's the same for all software.
I assume Arturia wan't to advertise the VC is updated and therefor call it 6.1.
