k-mix balanced inputs and individual output
« on: August 08, 2017, 10:34:40 pm »
Hello,
I am planning to buy a k-mix mixer, it has 8 balanced inputs.
What kind of cables do I need to plug the individual outputs of the drumbrute (unbalanced) to these inputs?

Thanks,
Samer

Hi samerghosn,
You should use unbalanced TRS cables.

Yeah, balanced cables will leave the 'cold' end floating giving low (or no) signal !

When you plug an UNbalanced plug into a balanced jack input, it grounds the cold side, and works as a true unbalanced in

So yeah UNbalanced TRS (or TS) cables are fine
