New to Storm..
« on: July 31, 2003, 03:47:30 pm »
Hi, I'm new to Storm and currently I am using Reason. I downloaded the demo version of Storm I really like it. I was just wandering is there a limit to how many intrument and effect modules you can put into the studio. I can't do it in the demo version and was wandering if it is set up similar to Reason.

Thanks for the reply

Forget it pal this is no where as near as good as Reason. Reason is in a league of it's own when it comes to virtual studios.

Well I just disagree with D-UK.

A standard storm 2 studio setup can include four instruments/modules,
as well as three fx units.

As well you can use Rewire, to initialize another instance of the software, so, if you did this, you could have up to 8 instruments/modules, and six fx units, all being recorded down onto a stereo master output etc.
(or record out seperate tracks) at one time.

Of course, you can make samples out of particular groups of tracks so you can then.....re-use instrument slots etc.

Other software packages have advantages and disadvantages, as does storm 2. I would say, that storm 2 is a great program that has a very fast learning curve, and it's also very simple to make music with.

Even though there are alternatives, I would recommend storm 2 to
anyone as being worth the money, also, the demo does allow you to try out the software enough to make a decision as to if it's worth purchasing.

Finally, the manual that comes with the software is very nicely written,
and, you can access all that information from the actual demo software,
so just play around abit, and you will find your answer.

Storm et Reason ne sont pas à opposer, ils sont complémentaires...

Storm and Reason haven't the same philosophy, they are complements...
Let them do, they just don't realize who they are!

Laissez les faire, ils ne réalisent pas ce qu' ils sont!
