I had a dream
« on: August 07, 2012, 12:35:27 pm »
Hello,

this morning I woke up with the memory of a dream where Arturia asked me, how they could improve their products and I had three wishes.  ;)

So here they are:

1. All parameters in the V-Synths should be controllable by the mousewheel. So they could be controlled with the 'AI-Knob' in Cubase.

2. Support for MIDI Release-Velocity.

3. Scaleable GUI - or at least two sizes. (I'm getting older and my eyes too  :D)

And where do you dream from.

I agree with the GUI resizing, but I'd like to be able to make things smaller...

In my dream..
1) they participated in their own forums and acted as if they were interested in user questions and feedback
2) gave some indication that they are paying attention to the advances that have been made in the sound quality of competitor products and therefore...
3) offered selectable 4-32x oversampling
4) redesigned the filters using zero delay feedback
5) eliminated "filter click" by any means necessary (there's no excuse for it anymore)
6) made sure all the templates worked on the Modular.
7) made training videos for the sequencers (particularly the 2600) and any other of the more esoteric features
8.. stopped making new products until they update and even redesign the core line of plugins.

In short, I dreamt that they woke up from the near-lethal rut they seem to be in.

My dream is that they fix the licensing system.

I'm moving from Vista to Windows 7 and had to do a clean install. I have to reinstall my softsynths, which is on the whole straightforward, but not with Mg Modular (I use the virtual eLicenser). I've contacted support but reading through the forum does not make me optimistic...
