Should I buy V Collection 9?
« on: November 30, 2022, 11:13:19 pm »
I have Pigments 3 and Analog Log V.

Would I benefit having V Collection 9 also?

How long is a piece of string?
It's going to depend whether you're into making your own sounds.

That said, in recent years Arturia have stripped-back Analog Lab so as not to include the full complement of 9000+ standard presets you get with V Collection, having woke up to the fact that they were losing sales of a €600 product (V Collection) to a €200 product (Analog Lab) because it still included the exact same presets. So that alone could swing the decision for you if you just want more presets, especially seeing they have a 50%-off Black Friday Sale offer of €299.

I'm only a hobbyist.

I record for fun and use the presets on Analog Lab 5 and Pigments 3.5.

I think I might save the cash.

Although I buy all the Arturia products I can so I can get it for 149.00 USD

I will get the EFX bundle for 99.00 USD without a doubt.

I'm really thinking the V Collection might be beyond my knowledge and it might be just a waste.

The EFX bundle that is 50% off I know I will use when I record in my Home Studio.

Just a hobby but I put a lot of time into it.

Oh well.

I said why not and bought it.

V Collection 9 and the FX bundle for 248 USD.

The normal price for both is 1000 USD so at least I got a good deal.

Nice.

Nothing stopping you from just using the presets until/if you get round to making your own sounds.
9000+ presets is enough for lifetime anyway.

lol
I find myself wasting time playing with all the presets with The V and Pigments....
Trying to learn how to use the sequencer on Pigments sucks though.
To me anyways it does..
