How to Disable my Sustain Pedal in Ableton Live?
« on: July 17, 2022, 10:02:48 pm »
Hello all,
I am currently evaluating to switch from Logic Pro X to Ableton Live so I have the Suite Trial Version, and I hit a wall with this issue which can make me do the switch or stick with Logic Pro X.

This is my problem.
In Ableton Live am using the Session view to create a set list. In one of the tracks I created an instrument rack with X number of VST instrument plugins to play Live. In one of the clips I want X instrument to ignore the Sustain Pedal as that clip has my keyboard split in two.
In the Envelopes area for that instrument I selected MIDI CTRL and then the 64 (Sustain Pedal), and unlinked it, but it didn't work and I can't seem to figure it out. Please Help!

Surely this is more of an Ableton question?
Doesn't Ableton have some kind of automation view where you can drag the sustain down to zero?
