[SOLVED] Changing User Sample Location
« on: April 07, 2022, 03:31:11 pm »
So while reading the manual I learned that Vocoder V copies user samples to my C: drive in my users directory.
Surely there must be some way to change this. My sample library is on a separate drive for a reason. I don't want to be filling up my C: drive with copies of samples. That seems quite needless. Even the option to not copy the samples anywhere. Just reference their original location. I know that could cause problems in the future, AND would make sharing presets/banks not work. But to do that one could set it to copy the samples when exporting a preset or bank.
It always annoys me when software decides to cram data onto my C: drive. But at least Vocoder tells you it does it.

Hi,

For quite some time you are not forced to have your ressources on the C drive. The location you set as install path for your ressources in ASC will be the destination.
Have a look here:
