De-authorising Arturia software on a sold computer
« on: December 31, 2016, 11:33:35 am »
Hi everyone I use V Collection 4 and 5 on three computers, one of which I recently wiped and sold before deactivating / de-authorising the software. Consequently the Arturia Software Center says I only have two spare activations. There doesn't appear to be a way to remotely de-authorise the machine from the ASC nor from 'My Arturia' online. How can it be done?

Thanks

I have a similar question.  My main machine has developed some hard drive issues and I want to do a complete wipe and reinstall of Windows 10.  BUT, before I do so, I want to know how to deactivate the copy of all that Arturia software on this machine, with the intention of reinstalling it after I reload my system.

In your case it's easy: log into Software Center, click the tab with the three cogs on it and click the button which says 'deactivate all'. In my case the machine was already sold before I thought of deactivating the software, and the fact there doesn't seem to be a method for me to centrally manage my activations is ludicrous.

I've also quickly learned that it's pointless asking off-the-wall questions on here. It's a sparsely-populated users' community contributed to by peers, and while I have had some help with a couple of 'newby' queries when I first got started, if no one's had the same problem as you, you won't get an answer. Originally, I stupidly thought it would be periodically visited by an Arturia product specialist, capable of answering pretty much anything. But it isn't.

For people who arrive here via google, this now appears to be possible when logged in at https://www.arturia.com/myarturia#products - press the X next to the authorization in the drop down for the product. I haven't tried it, but it looks like it should be supported.
