Hello and thanks for having me. I am trying to keep a sequence playing with bass for example from my Keystep set to channel 1 in abelton, while I play a lead sound from keystep as well, set on channel 2 in ableton.
I have pressed the SHIFT+ OCT+ (Kbd Play) but when I do this instead, the sound on channel 2 triggers the same sequence from ch.1 with this new sound from ch.2 only.
Again, I have set each channels to 1 and 2 and to 'input' under monitor in ableton, but what happens instead is that when i shift from midi ch1 to mid ch2 from keystep, keystep just triggers the different sound from midi channel 2 and the sequence. But that is not what i want. I want the bass sequence to keep playing while i control another sound from keystep on midi ch.2 for example.I can solve this by recording in a slot the bass sequence in Ableton, but I want toplay my example here in realtime, without recording any sequences in Ableton. Any help appreciated as I am stuck! - BRIAN
