Arp and Seq - sources and start/stop
« on: July 07, 2019, 02:18:52 am »
I currently have a KeyStep and viewing the MF as a possible replacement. I have a couple of questions.

Will the MF arpeggiate notes received from another keyboard?

I am controlling all of my MIDI devices from a Boss ES-8. If I have a patch with a sequence, then from the ES-8 I will load that patch. What I would like to do is also send START to the MF and at the next patch on the ES-8 send STOP, so that the sequence runs for that section of a song. What CC messages can I send to trigger this, if possible?

I have tried to do the same with my KeyStep and it simply doesn’t work. This is why I am interested in the MF.

Hold function doesn't seem to work from ext keyboard.

Thanks Trevor, that’s great news. I run a KMI 12 Step that has different modes, including hold and toggle. My MiniNova works well with that. Maybe MF will also.

Remotely starting and stopping sequences will be the next hurdle. Hopefully someone knows how.
