Analog Lab - Strange transpose shift
« on: April 28, 2019, 07:51:15 pm »

When playing Analog lab 4 in multimode, sometimes a strange transpose shift happen, so that part 1 and 2 uexpectively are in different key.

I was playing song 1 splits: split bas piano. Then I closed analog lab down and reloaded it, and it sounded fine again for a while, then same thing. I'm not sure if this is a general error, it works fine using other presets.

Has anybody observed this?

I thought this happened to me with a multi. I moved on past it but I will try to reproduce it again.

Hi Michael,
Very strange indeed.
When this is happening could you check the transpose parameter in the Midi settings of your multi preset available in the mixer view ?
Maybe a transpose had been applied.
When this happen :
- Are you running AL4 in a DAW ?
- Do you have any controller connected ?
- When changing preset does it fix the problem ?

Thanks

Hi Ben  :)

I remember I did checked transpose parameter in midi settings - and parameter was not changed. I did not touch the midi parameter prior to the error event.

Yes, it works fine using other presets.

I'm using ableton 10.0.6 as DAW
I'm on a mac pro that runs El Capitan 10.11.6
I'm using a Novation ReMote 61 SL keyboard

I tried again today, and now I can't reproduce the error...hmmm

Hello again

I have an opdate to my problem. Today I've observed the same unexpectivly transpose issue - but this time with one of ableton own instruments, Operator. So, I guess that the problem is not Analog lab but ableton. Ben, you said something about what controller I'm using. Could it be that my Novation midi keyboard is causing the problem - somehow sending corrupt midi data.
