How to switch to playlist mode
« on: October 14, 2018, 10:51:32 pm »
I've set up a playlist in Mini V but when I load the plugin in my host it is not in a playlist mode and so I can't send program changes to the plugin.

How can I configure Mini V so that it opens with a playlist enabled?

If that can't be done, is there some other way I can cause particular presets to be loaded -- I know there's a "current preset" concept but there are so many presets in Mini V (ignoring ones that I make myself) that I don't know how to find the number of a particular preset.

Thanks in advance

Wow - didn't expect that...not sure this should be categorized under feature request or bug report.

Thanks for the fast response. I'll have to use a different plugin.

Hi guys, pasting here previous answer on related topic :https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=93218.0

Hi Guys, i logged this feature request in our database.

In the meantime there is a workaround for this, maybe not the most convenient, i agree.
If your midi controller is able to send program change messages, message should be set like this
MAX MSB value : playlist number (0 will load playlist number 1)
MIN LSB value is not considered
cc/note : preset number inside playlist (0 will load in preset 1)

in a practical way, once software is loaded, or DAW project is recall, pressing this single button will load the desired playlist.

Hope it helps,

cheers,

How is that a "workaround" ? As far as I can tell, your suggestion completely solves the problem!

My plugin host (Gig Performer) can easily and automatically send a CC 0 bank switch message to the plugin followed by the desired program change after loading MiniV. I just tested it and it works perfectly.

Thank you so much. ;D ;D ;D ;D
