Is upgrading firmware resetting factory defaults?

Hi all.
Before I upgrade my BSP I wanted to know if the upgrade will factory reset it. Anybody can tell me?

But it seems the device settings are reset, so remember to export your device settings before upgrade and import them again after the upgrade...

After updating to the latest firmware my BSP sends out Midi transport messages to my DAW which started to act weird (feedback loop). So, for sure the tranport main settings changed due to the update.

Well some were here, what bit me was auto sync IIRC...

"Auto sync" and some other parameters did not exist before update 2.0.0.2

From 2.0.0.2 to 2.0.1.1 posted here in the forum because I want to use that Drum Mute feature which is now (2.0.1.0) broken like I read here.
