Pads Aftertouch
« on: February 09, 2018, 11:11:47 pm »
Hello everybody,

I have a problem with pad aftertouch at MiniLab mkII.
So, in MCC's midi console I see midi messages. (see screenshot in attachments)
But nothing happened when I try to use it in massive, or ableton operator.

PS. I sure in massive or ableton operator config,  because KeyStep's aftertouch works very well with them.

Are there any solutions?

The Maschine 2 software does not support aftertouch.

Hi and welcome to Arturia Forums.

Is the preset you use in Massive set to use aftertouch?
You talk about Massive config. But aftertouch in Massive is preset based as a modulator. Be sure you use a sound that use aftertouch to modulate at least one parameter.

Does Massive recieve the Note On events on MIDI channel 10 that you show on your screenshot? Otherwise be sure Massive somehow does recieve events send on that channel.

According to the product page pads have aftertouch on your controller, but not keys. And your screenshot also show aftertouch is sent on the pads that play D#1 and E1 from your controller. So for the moment it to me does'nt look like it's a controller issue as such.

I don't know about Ableton stuff.
But in generel - be sure the sounds you use is set to use aftertouch somehow. Aftertouch can modulate many things.

EDIT: According to the MCC manual you can also see if your MCC in the device setting tab show that aftertouch is set to have values to create an effect? EDIT END
