Envelope Mod Matrix voltage range
« on: November 27, 2017, 06:00:21 am »
Hi there,

I just picked up a Microbrute (second hand) and the envelope output seems to be acting up.

What is the designed voltage range for the envelope out?
Should it be okay to drive eurorack modules directly?
Is there current limiting on that output jack?

Thanks for the help!

I put a meter on the ENV out and with the attenuator (ENV amount) fully open was reading around 4.5v

I can't comment on the current but it does seem to behave a little poorly with *some* modules in my eurorack.

Good to know!

Thank you for measuring the voltage on your unit! Mine was at less than 1 volt when I measured it so something was going on.

Knowing that others are having some issues with eurorack is very helpful as well. Maybe I'll modify the circuit to make sure it's reasonably well scaled and protected for output to eurorack...

Thanks again!
James
