using midi in to sync and record patterns
« on: September 04, 2017, 07:20:09 pm »
I have no trouble syncing drumbrute to other devices such as roland jdxi using midi.  when I play a pattern on the jdxi, the appropriate buttons on the drumbrute light up and the tempo changes to match the jdxi.  I can trigger additional sounds by hitting the drumbrute pads during the sync event.  What I would like to do is press record during the sync on the drum brute and record the pattern generated by the jdxi.
Another thing I noticed is that when playing drumbrute and triggering another device over midi, the randomness button works but the swing button will not transfer any midi information.
Thanks for any advice

I found a way to achieve this.  It I press record and then press each of the drum pads that are flashing  it will eventually record the pattern which can be saved to the drumbrute after the recording and sync has ended,
