Drumbrute midi slave problem
« on: July 22, 2017, 03:16:55 pm »
When I set the DB  to Midi (slave) and controlled by my MC5000 as the master, it always misses the first step and as such is immediatly 1 step out of sync with everything else😩
What's the fix for this please?

Thanks in advance

Hi STEVE2972,
Have you updated to the lastest firmware?

Ok I 'be managed to update to lastest firmware, but it still does it
Starts on 3 rd step when I press play on my Mc 5000.Strange thing I have also discovered is that if I press stop and play at the same time on the MC, it starts correctly on the 1st step!
It's not the MC5000 as everything else slaved to it work as it should

There is no known synchronization issues in the latest DrumBrute firmware...
Is your MC5000 starting from position 0?
Quote
if I press stop and play at the same time on the MC, it starts correctly on the 1st step
Try pressing Stop before pressing Play -> how does it behave?
Your MC5000 may be sending a Song Position Pointer message if it is not at time 0, and the DrumBrute takes it into account.

Y.

Yes,starting from song position 0
It's hit and miss.Yes,sometimes if I return to song position O and press stop, then play it begins correctly. If I press stop and play at the same time it works ok
A little odd but it's not a big deal now I can make it work

Cheers
