loud "pop" in speakers when starting or shutting down computer .....

Also really loud speaker pops when unplugging power.
It's not ideal for me to turn my speakers off every time I finish work for the day.
Any thoughts on how to alleviate this without shutting down my speakers?

Hi there. This is the case with many other audio interfaces.
It happens because of current load or drop. Turn your speakers on last and turn them off
last as well. This happens in professional studio where I use to work many times.

I agree with ZWR comment, thank you ZWR for the answer by the way,
but from my side i shutdown my speakers first once i finished working.
so at home , for powering up i use the following method :
SYNTHS -> KEYBOARD AMP -> COMPUTER -> AUDIO INTERFACE -> ACTIVE SPEAKERS
and to shutdown i do the contrary, beginning from speakers.

Could you give us information about your setup please? does your unit is directly linked to active speakers, or are you using a mixer inside this chain?

turning my speakers off every time I use my studio is a pain in the ass.
over the last 10 years I've had a UAD Apollo, and a Presonus 192.
Neither of which needed me to power off my speakers.
Back in the "old days" turning your speakers off was the thing to do, I just figured those days were over ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also the pop isn't just a small click, it is a very loud pop. Like ear damagingly loud.

Surely this isn't necessary in modern audio equipment?

Hi . i come from a sound engineering back ground and can say it has always been  turn on amp then speakers   and turn off speakers then amp this also applies to audio sound cards.

Yup, me too.
Maybe I've just had a good run with my previous cards.
Also, there's a pretty big difference between the pro recording studios I've worked for over the years and my personal home studio set up. I mean we're dealing with "Amps" after all, and yes, technically the Audiofuse is an amp, but nothing like the power used in my normal work environment.

All I'm saying is that in my opinion, a power button on the unit itself would be nice, as both my previous cards had this, which meant powering off my speakers wasn't necessary, and any "pop" was negligible.
Hell even my trusty old NI Komplete Audio 6 doesn't pop no where as much as this Audio Fuse card, a small click maybe , but nothing like the fear inducing POP that the AF gives

WORK AROUND:

Switch to "Speaker B" if shutting down your computer or unplugging the USB.
Switch back when you've reconnected.
Problem solved!

Ha, good call.  So surely it must be feasible to have an on/off option (and no pop when switching sample rates) - just create a hidden Speaker C and flip to that first

This I noticed too at work.  It also happens when turning the computer on.

We also use Apogee, Antelope Audio  & Presonus without this problem. Would be nice to eradicate this

What I saw worked is not having the audio fuse plugged in to the DC
speakers turn on and off seamless if you follow the above mentioned step.
How can I avoid this?
