Envelopes respond faster than the actual matrix don't they?

Aren't the envelopes on Matrix 12 V  quite a bit faster than the envelopes on a real matrix?  I don't own one I just don't understand how Arturia could improve matrix 12 and make sysex when they improve it.  Could it be made to read Matrix 1000 presets too?

I would hope they would make the envelopes even fast than they are.  I think they are slow in the latest version.
