How did i do this sequence?
« on: March 30, 2017, 04:21:43 pm »
i made a sequence (short forward backward, 8 steps)

if i transpoe it via keyboard, the first not always stays the same pitch /great effect!)

if i transpose it via pitchwheel, the sequence transposes incl first note.

but i don't remember how i did it. any idea?

I have tried to reproduce it ... but maybe, I didn't understand correctly ... There is one "special feature" of the sequencer and maybe that could lead you back to where you have been.

If we step-sequence a pattern, let's say at pitch "G" lower then middle "C" - just to have an origin ... then later, if we play middle "C" again to start the sequence, the sequence plays starting with aforsaid "G". Maybe in combination with key-priortities you could go there again? I tried, but didn't succeed.

You are sure that you didn't have more modulation going on? Some keyboard-tracking off ... or the modulation track of the sequencer put to some odd function?

At least it was fun to try it ...  8)

same here. it works with 1.1

Can you give me a hint, what did you "modulate", or was it simply some notes and the forward/backward sequencer only?

I have played again ...

VCO 3 can be set not to track the keyboard directly ... but it's pitch can be modulated by one of the free mod-slots. Now we can modulate the keytracking of VCO 3 and this could at least mimik, what you have described, if the volume of VCO 3 is switched on and off in the mixer section too ...  ???

@ reply #6:
i cannot give you a hint. it's not a test, i really would love to know how to do it.
there's nothing modulated in the seq mod track.
i first thought it has to do with SYNC, as this sometimes has the same result (at least here)  as switching KEYB TRACKING off.
but i tried with sync off, same result.

of course most interesting would be, if one could also "freeze" other notes or even parameters..

keyboard tracking vco 3 is on

You have made me curious and TBO I am interested to understand and/or replicate this too. Maybe I give it another try later. Have you saved this patch? Then you could analyse what is going on. Just check the settings/modulations one by one and if the effect dies ... you know the culprit?
