Preset for External Input?

I gots a lot of knobs and sliders here to manipulate to get things in the appropriate ballpark for using an external input (like my guitar).  Is there a preset for this?  I may have missed it.  Many thanks in advance for any help!

Make proper settings on the input panel on back, turn up ext level in MIXER, rout to filter of choice

When the vca is triggered  by keyboard or sequencer or midi, then you will hear the external input
