MIDI Thru not forwarding sysex messages

I have enabled MIDI Thru and normal midi node messages are forwarded fine.

However sysex messages are never sent through.

My KeyStep is connected via USB to my MacBook Pro.
MIDI out from KeyStep is connected to my Yamaha TX81Z's MIDI IN.

When trying to send a sysex message (patch) nothing is received on the TX81Z.

I have tried connecting a MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru box between the KeyStep and TX81Z and the light on the thrubox does NOT flash -meaning nothing is sent through.

I have tried to set the MIDI channels on the KeyStep to values other than the MIDI channel on the TX81Z, but this does not allow the sysex messages to be forwarded.

I'm running FW 1.0.1.15.
I have tried sending sysex using C6, SysEx Librarian and JSynthLib and all these works when using other midiinterfaces.

Hope to get this fixed in next update...

No it doesn't.  And that is a little annoying.  Sometimes that is desirable, but I'd rather have the option to turn off sysex transmission when not needed.

Bummer.... it would really add value to the BeatStep -then I would be able to run a patcheditor on my Mac and play the patches without having to switch midi cables all the time.

I'll add this as a request for future update.
