Mod Wheel Issues - Keystep
« on: October 22, 2016, 02:43:10 pm »
Hi,

Recently purchased the Keytep and loving it.

I'm having issues with my mod wheel.I have the midi channel set to user and the CC to 1. I can't seem to get it to work with my Korg Volca FM or with Ableton Live. At the risk of sounding dim, is this even possible with these? If so I would be massively appreciate it if could someone help me out.

I just want to know it works in case I have to return it.

Thanks!

Hi,

With Ableton, it just depends on the instrument or the VST you control. It's the same with aftertouch or velocity, not all of them are recepteive to those modulations.

Double-check your settings in Ableton's MIDI preferences: Keystep input activated, eventually sync and remote. Also that your track takes the Keystep as input, on the correct MIDI channel.

Concerning the Korg Volca FM, according to the following video, this is possible:

Cheers!
