DrumBrute videos
« on: October 08, 2016, 11:20:05 pm »
To anyone interested, here's my YouTube playlist for DrumBrute (significant) videos: Arturia DrumBrute video playlist

....as usual, Youtube doesn't do justice to sound producing products but some of these videos do show some cool aspects of DrumBrute :)

Special note on the latest 2 that have Glen Darcey answer some questions about DrumBrute on the BeatPPL Podcast:

BeatPPL Episode 12 - DrumBrute & Glen Darcey of Arturia

It uses regular 3.5mm (aka 1/8") mono cables though stereo work too of course (sometimes easier to find)
https://www.google.com/search?q=3.5mm+cable+mono
(same as those used on Euro-rack)

I don't have any special source to recommend, so Google is your friend, I guess :)

If you're going to use a regular mixer, you'll likely need some adaptors to 1/4 inch jack

or simply buying 3.5mm to 1/4" mono cables would be a good option too, if buying specifically for these outputs.

Bough some 3.5 to 1.4 jacks from dv247 in london for testing . they wasn't cheap as they where patch cables for modulars synths and at 1.5meters a bit short to reach my sound card in my rack.
maybe Arturia will supply some as well as the other sync adaptors.

Looking around that site, I would've gone for this pair:
+

http://www.dv247.com/cables/music-store-3-5mm-to-6-5mm-jack-adapter--200862
+
3m: http://www.dv247.com/cables/music-store-3-metre-stereo-mini-jack-cable--200058
or
5m: http://www.dv247.com/cables/music-store-mini-jack-cable-5m--215355
(as I said, usually stereo 3.5mm cables are cheaper or easier to find with longer lengths than mono)

Not sure about its shielding quality of course :)

$0.25 ain't much, right?

(Starts with DrumBrute then changes to MiniBrute then DrumBrute again)
