Improved Jon Lord/Deep Purple preset?
« on: September 03, 2016, 10:23:50 am »
I thought the B-3 V preset 'Deep Violet' was a good starting point, though I was hoping to get even better.  The factory preset sometimes gets thin (sound-wise) with time due to the rates of the flanger and phaser.  To my ears, this preset sounds better: (see attached).

If anyone can improve either preset, I would be curious to hear yours.

Nice, certainly gets you in the ball park of the "Perfect Strangers" vibe.

Like so many patches not only with the B3 emulation but also the Farfisa and Vox organs I find a good remedy is to use an external amp and fx program like Amplitube 4. And for the Leslie I use the PSP emulation. Not that I use the Arturia B3 emulation all that much - I have access to far better ones on my computer - and they all have bass pedals which Arturia has still not seen fit to provide.

No problem. A lot of people probably don't think to do what I wrote about. Am thankful Arturia at least gave us a DI type output so these kinds of things can be done without the added coloration of a built-in amp.

Related: for those that use acoustic instrument emulations like violin try my method on violin. Talk about Jon Luc Ponty & Mahavishnu territory :)
