HI LBH.
Could you clarify for me...Do you mean that the key limits of low and hi do not work when e.g. K2 or K3 is used for Driver or Filter?
Hi jeffbart,
If you read the manual chapter 6.3 Bonus features, then you in the last paragraf of the chapter on page 123 can read this:
"Each of the key follows also allows the generation of a trigger signal when the selected note is between 2 limits. Because of this, certain envelopes can be triggered in function of notes or particular sections of the keyboard."
Hi low only apply to certain Envelopes.
You can actually hear your self. If you take a sound that has a OSC with a K 1-4 setting in the display, then try and change Hi Low settings. Your hear no effect.
The same goes for the filters.
Most if not all off the presets don't use the Lo Hi key(board) follow. The range set to E3-E3 on most presets. So if it worked it's only applied to note E3. I think this feature is very misunderstood or overlooked.
If you on the other hand put a envelope between A OSC and a Filter to modulate the filter using a Key(board) follow as a trigger, then the Hi Lo limits work.
I just can't see why the Hi Lo range should not apply to the K1-4 setting in the displys as well for both Osc's and Filters. Then if for instance K! is used on a Osc and set to a range, then the Osc only work in the range that's set for K1. Similar for the Filters. This you can do without using an envelope then, but the envelopes would still be useful in adding to the sound also when using key(board) followers.
It will be a much more useful and dynamic way to create complex sounds, and very easy to create all kind of split keyboard sounds.
Hope that explains.
