Hi, Maybe the iRig Pad is sending MIDI note numbers outside the Spark 2 native MIDI note range.
You could have a go at manually mapping the MIDI notes used by the 16 iRig Pads by editing preferences in the Spark2 software preferences pane.
Quote from the Spark 2 manual:
5.10.1.3
MIDI Import/Export preferences:
Choose MIDI map model for Pads: You can choose an existing mapping for the pads
being controlled by an external MIDI controller. Spark Option is the mapping used by
Spark controller, General Midi is a standard MIDI mapping, and you can define your own
mapping using “Custom” Option and assigning MIDI notes on pads using Cmd-Click on
OSX or Ctrl on Windows on pads.
Also, note weird way Arturia have numbered their pads:
the first pad is the one at bottom left, then it goes to the right, and switches to the upper row left to right.
Should be read like :
9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
Note that the above sequence is not the MIDI note numbers, just how to read the pads in rising sequence.
I can't find the MIDI note numbers for Spark anywhere in the Manual, from memory they are in the fifties & sixties, or sixties & seventies.
You can see them for yourself if you open the Spark CDM hardware in MIDI Control Centre and look at MIDI note number settings.
