LFOs and EGs for BSP
« on: June 11, 2016, 05:51:04 pm »
Where do you send those gate outs on your BSP?

Probably to an EG, right?

I don't know if this could be added to the firmware or if the physical device has the DC power specification to pull it off, but if so then having that out be a fancy, programmable EG itself would be fantastic. In addition, being able to "take" the drum outs and re-assign them to a synth voice then use those outs as "fancy programmable" onboard EGs or LFOs with some slick internal routing and software VCA functionality between them would also be fantastic. The various knobs and pads would be assignable for realtime control of them.

Assuming something like that could even be done it even suggests a possible follow-on product: a micro-brute voice that could either be a desktop unit or module. This would be a VCO, VCF, VCA with a LOT of patch points. Given the street price of the MB it would be interesting to see how much/little that could be done for, especially with no MIDI/USB interfaces.

If you could get the BSP sending EG/LFO as described and the street price significantly south of $150 I think you would sell a TON of them.
