I know I can go into the MIDI Control Center and change the MIDI channel for all the knobs and such, but that's a bit tedious.
I'm wondering if there's a way (like with the MiniLab) to change the MIDI channel on-the-fly via the hardware?
I'm not seeing anything about that in the manual, and a quick google search didn't bring up anything relevant.
Thx :)

What are you trying to achieve?

For example you could easily control 2 things with the same controller if you had certain things preset using the MCC.
But to depends on what you want to do, there isn't a predefined control that ables you to change midi channel but with some side thinking you could easily achieve it.

Thanks, Stuart

I'd like to be able to switch control from one intrument/effect on-the-fly.
For instance, set up the 24 knobs on the CDM to control the sequencer in Modular V on one MIDI channel, then quickly switch MIDI channel of the CDM to have those knobs control various effects units.
This is quick and easy with the MiniLab, and I often do this to play multiple instrument and tweak multiple effects while loop recording. It also has great usefulness in live playing -- which I'm only starting to explore really.
Thanks for your response. Seems the CDM can't do this. That's fine tho. :)

The only way I can see this working is by setting 12 knobs on one midi channel and the other 12 on another midi channel. The keyboards have the ability to save presets and therefore are easily changed mid performance. The CDM is kind of meant to stick with spark 2, useful as it is as a midi controller, it won't do what you want it to do.

Thanks, Stuart
