MicroBrute headphone output dead?
« on: February 29, 2016, 09:02:17 am »
Hi,
a new Microbrute owner here.

So I bought a used MB and it appears to be otherwise all fine except that no sound besides very low hiss comes out of the headphone output. Anyone here has any ideas or experiences about this issue?

The synth arrived with a small black screw loose inside. I opened the bottom lid but could not see where it came from and I didn't want to start taking off the lower board to be able to see the top one and the backside of the headphone input, although I'm guessing the screw might have something to do with the problem.

The master volume pot also makes nasty scratchy noises upon turning but this is probably about the low quality of the pot itself.

Exactly the same here. I didn't mind the crackling noise of the main output, but discovered the headphone output anomaly after the warranty was over already.
