original Spark CDM controller and iSpark
« on: February 22, 2016, 12:27:10 pm »
Hi All,

I connected my original Spark CDM controller with iSpark last night (using official camera connection adapter) and it seems the CDM needs more power, I don't have a PSU yet, anyone had any success with this?

Ta.

No such luck.

I procured a power supply for my SparkCDM controller and my iPad(Air) declares that it requires too much power, disabling it in the OS, and preventing any app (inc iSpark) from seeing it as connected.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a parameter that could be set in firmware, but I would be surprised if Arturia released an update for that purpose.

That said, If i come across a neglected SparkLE controller I'm more apt to pick it up.

Keep up the good work Arturia.

cheers.

Hardware needs to meet some specifications to be compatible with iOS devices. The most important thing is:it needs to be class compliant (no driver software necessary).

That's not the case for the big controller (to my knowledge).
