What's the verdict? Is 1.3 stable?
« on: January 21, 2016, 04:08:23 pm »
Sounds like a lot of our major requests are there. I'm reading of individual device issues with octaves etc, but there are hopefully settings in MCC for those.

Is midi stable?
Any glitching or crashing?
Is din sync stable?

External clock working?
Roller working?

I'd usually take the quiet as a good sign, but in this case, it could just be resignation or giving up. I've just gotten back from an overseas trip so this is my first opportunity to try it, but I don't want to upgrade to something MORE buggy.

In my opinion, and with my purely MIDI and CV/Gate hardware only home studio setup, it is actually pretty decent,
considering the feature-set currently implemented. Also recently I've tested using BSP with Ardour DAW on a Linux PC
and so far so good.

For me, most severe hickup has been the now very occasional hung MIDI notes. A lot of my earlier gripes were
corrected with 1.3 release. Good work Arturia.

Once the next release comes, if it includes any wanted new features and doesn't break stuff, i'll be really
happy camper.

There still seem to be some issues, though.

- Long notes running via CV on one sequencer are being interrupted randomly when the second sequencer is running via MIDI.
- The tempo knob is hopping at times. when I want to slightly change tempo at times the tempo will randomly jump 3-4 bpm up or down. In live situations this can be quite annoying
- I seem to have observed some situations when the internal MIDI clock seems to drift a little. Enough to be a mess. Restarts are required.

Asides, it is really nice. I hope Arturia will solve these issues. Powerful tool!

No...I haven't been able to use my BSP since updating. All gear being controlled by my bsp is way off time.
