Octave Buttons
« on: September 21, 2015, 03:55:42 pm »
Hi all, I am having the issue with my microbrute where the octave buttons are a little intermittent, I am assuming that the contacts are dirty or dry, although despite this issue being mentioned on the forum, I cannot find mention of a solution.

I am considering the possibility of doing a little DIY upgrade to the keyboard as the octave buttons have always been a weak point in the design in my opinion. I would love a rotary control or lever select the octave (I realise such a mod would be pretty) as I play it live and octave switching happens often and quickly.

Before I open it up however, I wondered if anyone knew how the buttons functioned. Are they simple momentary switches, or something more complex? Direct on the pcb? Any thoughts would be lovely. Thanks.

Thanks for any help.
James.
