MIDI channel vs CV/Gate Channel
« on: June 19, 2015, 11:06:04 pm »
Hi everyone

The Beatstep was my first hardware sequencer. I bought it presuming I could send multiple sequences to each of my hardware synths. Quickly it turned out the Beatstep didn't do that. One sequence for all. A beginner's mistake which almost made me sell it.
However I didn't sell it and now I'm thinking of giving it a second chance because I kind of like the way it works.
One thing just keeps puzzling me though, and I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. I hope you guys can help me out.

In the MIDI control center you have the option to change the global (MIDI) channel but also the CV/Gate channel and the sequencer channel. Do these options give me the possibility to send a separate sequence via MIDI to one synth and another separate sequence via CV/Gate? And if so, how exactly do I set this up?

Many thanks in advance

Cheers Ruben
