Hi,

Hi,

I am just getting acquainted with the Arturia Spark. I have the Spark-Creative model HW. (Not the LE model). and I'm using Spark 2 software.

Q1. How do I copy a pattern to a new pattern location. i.e. I want to copy Pattern 1 in bank A to an empty pattern 2 in bank A. ( Copy Pattern A1 to A2) . In song mode I can repeat pattern A1 by adding another A1 in the vertical playlist. But that's not what I want. since I want to copy A1 to a new pattern A2.

I couldn't find this simple, yet important function in the software, and no mention of how to do it on the actual hardware. (Note : The Spark LE version has a 'Copy' button, but not the Spark Creative model). I'm guessing there must be a hidden function to do this, but I couldn't find it in the manual.

Q2. How do I enable 'Tune Mode' to play a synth/bass sound chromatically ? and given there are only 8 pads on the Spark Creative model, how do I play a sharp/flat note ? or is this only possible via a keyboard ? (Note : The Spark LE model has a dedicated button for this, but not the Spark Creative model).

Q3. Is it possible to record the 'Divide' and 'Move' knob movements when I enable Loop Mode. and is the enabling and disabling of Loop Mode recordable as automation (both in a DAW, or when using the Spark in Standalone mode) ? I tried to record this, but it doesn't work, maybe it is not supported as an automation parameter, not sure .. ?

Any help/feedback on these questions from Spark Users would be appreciated.

Thanks,
MSculp

OK.

So I found the answer to question 1.

A pattern can be copied to another pattern on the Spark-Creative model HW.

Procedure :

1. Press the [Select] and while holding it press the [Erase] button.

2. Select the source pattern

3. Select the destination pattern.

That's it !

Strangely... I'm not sure how this is accomplished in the Spark 2 software ?

Anyone know ?

Hi terrym,

Thanks for the support.

Regarding Q2. How do I enable tune mode ?   I set the tune mode to sequence buttons in Preferences. Not sure where to enable tune mode on the HW unit, and/or the software ?   Can you please provide some feedback on this detail.

Cheers,
MSculp

Hi terrym,

Wonderful !  Thank You Very Much.

This makes things much clearer now.  I wonder why I couldn't find this info. ?  Is it in the user manual ?

Anyways... I appreciate your support, and look forward to have fun using my Spark-Creative.... Creatively   :)

Oh ... Now I see it.  Thank You.

By the way, that question mark is almost invisible on my screen.   8)

I was already inventing a solution before I read your post.

Here is what I did  :)
