Microbrute as a midi controller
« on: January 30, 2015, 01:22:55 am »
I want to play my Volca Keys using the Microbrute as a midi controller but no luck.

Is that possible midi in to midi in? I have selected the midi channel on both but no sound.

Can someone explain to me what do I do with the Midi connection then? Can I use it to sync with other gear?

unfortunately you cannot control the volca from the microbrute. you need midi out from one device going into midi in on the other.

also unlike the korg monotribe the volcas do not have cv gate in, only sync. which means you can use one volca to control the clock of another volca or monotribe with the sync function.

so you need to get yourself a controller keyboard or any other keyboard with midi out.
