Hi,
I have to say that I'm very dissapointed of the new ASC.
And this is the reason why:
My DAW has no connection to the internet and will never have. Therefore
it is still fast and reliable. So I need offline activation mandatory.
With the old eLicenser and a second computer really no problem
to transfer the license to the USB-dongle. Just start the software,
add a new license and transfer it to the dongle. And take it
to the computer which you're working with.
OK, Arturia's ASC has an offline option too. So I tried as a test to update
the Analog Lab from my V-Collection 3 to the latest version. And I generated
the code, uploaded it as demanded. This was last year, 30th Dec. 2014.
And I have still no response.
"(Offen) Offline licences file generation - Germany"
OK, then I tried the new synth in demo mode out of Lab. What can I say?
Yes they are sounding good, as expected from Arturia.
But:
-Solina V is crackling when die convolution-reverb is on. And CPU load is not the reason.
-Matrix 12 is a monster regarding CPU power consumption. Never had
such a VSTi making so much load... just comparing it to the beautiful sounding
mini V and its CPU load. No reason for beeing so hungry.
-VOX: sounds good, but I did not test further more.
Waiting more than 12 days for a license code because offline activation does not work
(it's really Off-line). What does this mean to me, if I would update all of
my V-Connection 3 and If I made an upgrade to VC 4 for the rest?
I decided to stay with VC3 and don't do an upgrade. Sorry.
Regards, m1ke
BTW: Native Instruments's offline license generation works fine for years.
