Making Patch Changes in the V Collection

Having read through a few of the manuals for the instruments supplied as part of the V Collection 4 I can see no references as to how to accomplish patch changes from a remote controller. Although I have not got around to hooking a controller up yet by operating the instruments as standalone and allocating a midi channel I am guessing that a simple program change between 1 & 127/128 will call up the basic presets in any of the instruments but how does one select other banks of sounds and user banks ?
