First I'm sorry that the migration have brought you some difficulties.
No one is forced to update, and all users have received 4 new activations of their softwares with the migration to the ASC, and the prices for the upgrade are really fair.

The ASC hotfix this week enabled the ASC finally but now the plugins crash.
