Pattern Length in Beatstep

I'm pondering whether to buy a Beatstep or SparkLE. Is it true that the pattern length in the Beatstep is only 16 beats? Is it possible to chain patterns together?

Hi ,beatstep is only 16 steps at the moment but you never know what arturia will do with this beast .if your thinking drum sequence beatstep cannot  do this .it is best suited to sequence synths and control other midi instruments at the same time.
