CV to Yamaha CS-05
« on: October 24, 2014, 02:09:49 am »
I've got one of these
http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/cs5.php

All the notes sent to it via CV are off compared to MIDI, by default it plays a G in the blank pattern which plays a C on MIDI. I can't tune the Yamaha to fix because the tune range is not that large.

Is there a way to transpose the CV and not the MIDI? Ideas? Thoughts? Chili recipes?

UPDATE LOL

I can transpose the Beatstep into range of tuning, BUT the CV seems to be a few octaves high compared to the midi?

Hi chadpry

the yamaha cs5 cv is hertz per octave and beat step is 1 volt per octave so without a converter the beatstep cv pitch will alway be off
