Can't sequence Mg voyager

I have connected the cv out to my Mg voyager 'pitch' in, but it's not sequencing it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you connected the Beatstep Gate out to the Voyager Gate in?

yes. at first i thought it was a voltage thing but after reading both manuals they do comply. strange.

Env gate, right? (not S&H gate)
What kind of cables do you use?

ah no, I've got it in the control inputs 'pitch' input. i will try it in the env gate! apologies, I've never sequenced a hardware synth with cv/gate before.

You need both connected... CV is for the pitch of the note, Gate is to trigger the note (or volume envelope).
