No Sound Beatstep
« on: June 22, 2014, 08:39:43 pm »
Hi all,

I've got some problems with my Arturia Beatstep. I have updated the firmware perfectly, and synced with my device. When i press a button on my device, i can see
the button pressed-in on the arturia computer program.
The only problem is that i have no sound at all.
What could be the problem?

Thanks

I presume you have your Beatstep connected via midi or usb to a synthersiser or DAw vst?
or maybe you think the Beatstep has its own built in sounds ?
or this is a wind up?

I've got it connected with USB. I can plan with it on any program and get sound.
But when i want to use MIDI controle center, it can read all the button's been pressed it, but i cannot get any sound out of it.
Is this the main program from arturia or not? Or what should i do?

Thanks!

Hi

You use the MMC software just to configure the beat step

For example to change the midi note of a pad or to set the global midi channel

and then you save your config to a memory and then sync

you don't hear any sounds while your are setting up the beat step

I think your a bit confused

cheers

Yes I am telling you that the  CONTROL software is ONLY to SETUP  the beatstep

NOT to play it

This has got to be a wind up

Was going to ask a question as a newbie, but seeing the responses from turb_kev it's obviously not a safe place for newbies!
