just disappointing....
Arturia should be a SW company, but you release a really well done HW synths and a new controller, with a limited but well made HW... beatstep.
this new controller (with a lot of bugs if is not used with out a laptop) receive a lot of feedback with lacks and bugs... sounds pretty close to HW products... releasing a products and use clients as beta testers.
after a new release that should resolve a lots of bugs, miss some importants bugs if somebody wants to used as master with a modular system.
- gate output doesn't work ...somebody can confirm this?
- no way to used as slave with out a computer... ok fine, lets used as master midi clock generator,
i can not change the patter division... midi clock start to do weird things.
- Slave feature, if the SW already use UART PIO for midi communication, why no offer a CV click input disabling MIDI out functionality using the same micro PIO port as a input... and now you can slave by SW the beatSteap with a modular system... sound a bad ass cheap controller
one half of the coin -> saturated controller market.
other half of the coin -> first modular system controller, cheap and "usable" as Arturia solve and improve the firmware
so how a SW company made a nice HW but have so many SW issues?
