I see the new FW is on the website - do you have a list of fixes?

Will try it out tonight  :)

Downloaded firmware, still same situation as described by Jstorebeck. Every time i try to sync I receive message: Failed to Open Device.

In terms of functionality this means in Ableton, computer can take input from Beatstep, but no midi sync, In other words no tempo sync. I really would like to resolve this.

being able to change gate, swing, and legato with knobs 1-3 is a really nice addition.

Excellent new features in the recent firmware. Everything working smoothly for me using Ableton Live 9 as my DAW and CV/Gate control of the Microbrute. Using it on Windows 7 Ultimate and Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9.3).

Love this product!  ;D ;D

Knobs are still not working right after the update...

See this thread: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/smf/index.php?topic=82122

This is getting a little embarrassing Arturia...

just disappointing....

Arturia should be a SW company, but you release a really well done HW synths and a new controller, with a limited but well made HW... beatstep.

this new controller (with a lot of bugs if is not used with out a laptop) receive a lot of feedback with lacks and bugs... sounds pretty close to HW products... releasing a products and use clients as beta testers.

after a new release that should resolve a lots of bugs, miss some importants bugs if somebody wants to used as master with a modular system.

- gate output doesn't work ...somebody can confirm this?

 - no way to used as slave with out a computer... ok fine, lets used as master midi clock generator, :( i can not change the patter division... midi clock start to do weird things.

 - Slave feature, if the SW already use UART PIO for midi communication,  why no offer a CV click input disabling MIDI out functionality using the same  micro PIO port as a input... and now you can slave by SW the beatSteap with a modular system... sound a bad ass cheap controller

one half of the coin -> saturated controller market.
other half of the coin ->  first modular system controller, cheap and "usable" as Arturia solve and improve the firmware

so how a SW company made a nice HW but have so many SW issues?

Nope.  :(
And it still doesn't recall the global channel when pressing recall+pattern on the hardware.

I finally got it to change the midi channel  with  CHAN + PAD  but only when im using it in my daw  Cubase

I still cant get it to change the midi channel if I use it with a stand alone vst  such as mini v

also in stand alone use. You can only control 1 synth at a time
it needs a special multi use driver. Its such a pain to have to close mini v to be able to use MMC  then close that and reload mini v .

cheers

Hi kevin, please make sure the standalone program i.e. mini v is set to the midi channel you want and not all midi . also when you change patch in the mini v it will change the midi channel back to all . so check this before using beatstep.
