Update Bug 1.4 - Joymixer broken

After upgrading to 1.4, I can no longer use the joymixer.  I can add it to a patch and it shows up but I cannot open it to edit it.  It also doesn't show up on any other modules for me to route anything to it.  I can edit joy mixers in existing patches and that works fine, but if I remove a working one and add it back the problem persists.  Reloading 1.3.5 fixes the problem but that is hardly a useful option.  Please advise.

Yes, I'm aware of that bug. It'll be fixed as soon as the decision to deliver a bug fix release is taken.

To be frank, I find it very disturbing that things that broke during a new release won't be fixed immediately and need blessing from above. Does this mean any new release is something like, you get something new and something old is gone?

Especially since a month has gone by and no word on a bug fix for a release that fundamentally breaks existing modules.  Any updates?
