Update change logs

I'm glad to see that Arturia is still supporting their oldest products with new updates.  Kudos to you guys!

However, I can't find a change log for the latest rounds of updates.  The Analog Factory, "Mini V" and "Modular V" got very obvious changes, but I can't see what has changed anywhere else.  I also can't find a change log for any of these updates.  Am I missing them?  If there aren't any, can we get some?

Agree -  it would be tremendous benefit to have release notes, with so many of the software titles being updated.  (Thank you for the updates by the way!!)

Laboratory - 1.3.1 -> 1.5.1  Here is what changed...
SEM  1.1.0 -> 1.1.2   Here is what changed...
Jupiter 8V 2.5.0 -> 2.5.2   Here is what changed...
CS-80V 2.5.1 -> 2.5.3   Here is what changed...
Mg Modular 2.5.2 -> 2.6.3   Here is what changed...

I suspect that you did a bit more than just update them to 64 bit drivers.  What was changed, added, fixed?

I guess they have only added 64-bit compatibility and the compatibility with the Laboratory 1.5.1.

Because all the V-Collection 2 synths have to be updated to work with the new Laboratory software and the previous Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer V versions are not even detected by the new Laboratory 1.5.1.

But hey! Have we ever got change logs for an update?

I would be very happy if there were even a standardized info menu/window - having to hunt around the screen to find the magic icon gets tiresome when each synth has a different gui.

Hi,

If you're searching for an application that notifies you about available updates, try the Orbit Download Manager.

To show the "About" menu, you have to click the logo on the GUI. (mini V, Spark) This is working on every Arturia plugin! You will find the version, build date and some additional infos or settings there. On some plugins you have to click the Arturia logo and on Jupiter-8V there is an about button on the right, right over the keys.

BTW: Change logs are still missing....

To be honest, I don't understand how you want to incorporate this into the Arturia GUI. What do you mean with the "Arturia GUI"? Do you want to get the infos about all the synths inside of the Laboratory?

Upps, so I guess you can't use the Orbit Download Manager then...  

But there are also tools that can notify you about available updates for Mac OSX software. Here are just a few:

Well, it's not that huge of a deal but it's just a lack of consistency in the interface.  I only have 4 of the synths and each is different:

1.Arp2600v - Click on the Arturia wave logo on the right of the keyboard for version, Arp logo does nothing, setting button on top of synth interface, no Mac menu items at all.

2. MiniMg Original -(free) - Click on Arturia name plate on top left of keyboard for version, Mg Logo does nothing, setting button on top on top of synth interface, no Mac menu items at all.

3. Oberheim SEM - Click on Oberheim logo to right of keyboard for version, Arturia logo does nothing, no settings button, Mac menu for preferences and for version under Oberheim menu header.

4. Analog Factory - Arturia logo does nothing, no settings button, synth logos do nothing,  under File menu are Audio and Midi preferences and the version number is under the Options menu item.

So that's what I mean about the GUI....

5.  Laboratory - Click on “Analog Experience THE LABORATORY” on keyboard picture, and it launches an About Screen, with scrolling list of the folks who designed and documented it and a list of some preferences / settings.  This is also where you enable some of the software packages you have installed.  This is where the current version is displayed.

6. Jupiter 8V – There is a tiny “About” switch on the keyboard.  Click and get a scrolling  list of developers and a couple of settings.  Clicking “Settings” on the top of the screen brings up “Audio Settings” . This is where the current version is displayed.

7.  CS-80V2 – Click the logo on the keyboard, and a couple of settings come up.  This is where the current version is displayed.

And to be on topic again, this all somewhat deals with finding out what version is installed I guess.

I really enjoy the programs, don't get me wrong, I just wish all the "meta-details" were a little more extensive - the stuff like clear and current documentation.  I don't particularly like installing anything on a production machine without at least a sense of what is changed.

And this is where inconsistency between products can be an issue. For example, if different versions are expecting presets to be in different locations, etc, rollback gets to be very difficult.
