can Spark do a full live set?
« on: January 23, 2012, 03:26:43 pm »
Hi guys, thought I'd come to the source for some answers on this.

I come from a live PA background using Roland Grooveboxes, and have yet to see a video online where someone has performed an entire leve set with a Spark.

I want to know if Spark is capable of switching entire pattern BANKS and sounds/kits on the fly as one progresses through a live set, without audio dropouts?

Basically, can you play a series of soundsets/pattern sets WITHOUT stopping to load?

Or as an alternative, could I run 2 instances of the plug and cr9ssfade between?

Really? 30+ views and nobody (including company reps) can answer this?

I guess I will take the lack of responces as a no... Too bad, would have been good as a groovebox hybrid.

Hi schmidi,
sorry for not answering before.
To answer to your question Spark is capable of switching trough all 64 (16*4 bank) patterns of a projects without any audio drop.
Concerning switching kit, you can also change it with the controller (no mouse interaction) but there will be a little drop (the time of loading the new kit).
to make you own opinion, you can try the demo (just install the latest update).

Best
