V-Collection patches in Analog Lab
« on: December 16, 2011, 07:33:47 pm »
Hi,  I understand that you can't use a preset from an individual synth module in AL, but is there any way to export a patch from the standalone version of the synth and import that into the synth withing AL?

I have just a few presets I need from each synth, but I need to use AL so that I can set them up as snapshots for live use.

If an export/import won't work, is there a way to get a list of every parameter in the standalone version so that I can recreate it in AL?  There has to be a way to recreate these patches in AL.  It blows my mind that they would bundle the products but not link them with their patches.  Afterall, AL seems to be made for patch management.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry to BUMP this but I have a gig on Thursday and have been pulling my hair out on this for a while.  If it's NOT at all possible please let me know that too.  I figure though that there has to be a relatively easy way to recreate the patches.

Thanks!

Hey viger,

Yes there is a easy way! I had the same idea and my way to do so is:

1. Copy a sound (f.e. a miniMg bass sound)
2. Open the miniMg from in the Laboratory and open the new
sound-map-mode  ;)
3. Show the available sounds as a "List" and choose the sound you want to use
4. close the miniMg and save the sound in the Laboratory
5. Export the sound (Or rename it while using Standalone)
6. Before you re-import the sound open it with a texteditor and change name etc.
7. Import your sound and then integrate it in your scene
8. Now you should be happy!

There is only one problem:
You can't change the custom controls assignments (Param. 1 - 4)  :-\
(Or at least I don't know how to change them using the texteditor)
They will always be the same as in the original sound you've copied first.
One thing Arturia should improve...

More whishes and great ideas you'll find here -> Features We'd Like To See Added!

Best regards

Manuel

Don't forget to applaud for me if this tip was helpful for you!  ;)
